I was actively looking for a business opportunity so that I could give up my part time job as a lecturer at the University of Huddersfield and have more time to spend at home. As a carer to my disabled husband and mother of two children aged 11 and 8 I was finding juggling work and home life increasingly difficult, especially as both my kids go to dance and drama school and need ferrying round to classes and rehearsals several times a week.
I found the business on the internet and asked for more information. So in other words, I was one of those people that go into the Total Leads system! When I received the first email telling me about the business I was immediately hooked because it had all the advantages I was looking for - low start up cost, minimal admin, no stock to handle and I could choose how much time to spend on it. Being extremely busy as a carer, mother and with my work for the local authority, my spare time was extremely limited. Having an online business seemed perfect.
Now everything I do to recruit new people to my network has to fit in to my existing lifestyle which is very busy, especially as I am the only car driver in my family and half my time is taken up being a taxi service. Everywhere I go, be it business meetings, work, shopping, events with my kids I just ask people if they would be interested in earning some extra income in their spare time.
If by chance they answer no, I ask them if they play the lottery. I normally get a positive response to one of my question and I either offer to send people a free DVD telling them about my business or I offer to send them some emails which do the same. Most of the time I do both, send out a DVD and put people into the Prospector
The important thing is to be ready to get an email and postal addressfrom your new prospect and take some time to carefully explain the process to them.
I take my time to let them know that I will be sending a DVD and ask them to promise to watch it as soon as they receive it, and then I will then give them a call and ask them what they think. Its important to reassure your prospect that you won't be hassling them, just wanting a “yes I am interested in finding out more” or “no, it's not for me” answer.
Once I have an email address, I make a point of stressing that they will receive a ‘confirmation email' and that they must click on the link in the email to receive the information that I am going to send them.
I also generate a lot of leads and interest in my business by promoting ‘Grab a Grand'. I put out my cards all over the place and have even registered my own domain name www.winagrandyorkshire.com which generates masses of local interest!
I am finding that I really can build my business whilst I go about my busy wife as a Mum, carer and career girl! Its quite exciting walking in to a supermarket or anywhere I go and thinking, “look at all these prospects”! Once you ‘get‘ this concept you really do start to see prospects everywhere!
Promoting my e-lottery business this way has really started to pay off as I now have nearly 60 people in my network and with my husband I am earning around £200 every 4 weeks. New people are joining all the time and I can see a time soon when we can both give up our day jobs to concentrate on sharing this amazing opportunity with people and help them to reach their goals while we reach ours.
